PAN AMSTERDAM RAI 2017

PAN Amsterdam, the fair of today for photography and art. Each object is vetted by independent experts for quality, authenticity and condition before the fair opens.

This year Eduard Planting will show new work I have photographed in Eastern Europe, the Abandoned Casino. But also Zeche Hugo a coalmine photographed in Germany which has been transformed into a museum. As usual all artworks are rich detailled and due to the use of technical lenses and hi-end photographic equipment fine art prints are available on very large format, up to 280 cm on the longest side.

Come have a look! Free tickets are available for serious art-buyers

NEW WORK, PRISON MANNEQUINS

KUNSTRAI (ART) AMSTERDAM, 31 May - 05 June 2017

Sometimes abandoned places are housing strange unexpected things such as dozens of men and woman mannequins. This old forgotten part of a still active Eastern European prison is intriguing and creepy as well. Please have some respect not to stare at their private parts!

The Prison Mannequins will be show at the KunstRai Amsterdam by Eduard Planting - Fine Art Photographs (Booth - 76). The artfair also known as Art Amsterdam and is open from 31 May - 05 June. Free tickets including the opening can be downloaded here …

Zeche Ruhr

Zeche Black Dust was active till june 2008 and was the last productive coalmine in this German region. The mine opened in 1927 but was flooded in the beginning and in 1930 reopened again. It produced 3 mil tons a year in 1968. At the moment of exploration the large site was under demolition and heavily guarded to keep copper thieves away. But also to behold intruders for demolition dangers.
