Happenings!

UPCOMING NEW WORK, ABANDONED MANNEQUINS

Sometimes abandoned places are housing strange unexpected things such as dozens of men and woman mannequins. This old forgotten part of a still active Eastern European prison is intriguing and creepy. Please have some respect not to stare at their private parts!

UPCOMING NEW WORK, THE CASINO

Recently we have photographed a charming and beautiful casino from ancient times. Perched on a cliffside overlooking the sea, the impressive building with art deco shapes and details are still in tact despite having shuttered decades ago. The building is in desperate need of investors who might protect or reconstruct this piece of heritage. In order to prevent more damage but also against vandalism the place is guarded 24h and also monitored.

YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT IS NEEDED!
WORKING OLD CRAFTSMANSHIPS IN EUROPE

For a photography project we need your help to find authentic craftsmanships which are still active. Fascinating places where workmen are following ancient techniques to produce their products. These old working places are exactly like the old days with no transforming to current times and have NOT been abandoned.

For example the crafts can be; builders of violins, makers of classic watches, forgotten printing techniques, stained glass setters, and so on. Sofar we have locations in The Netherlands, Portugal and Italy. If you know such fantastic locations please send me a message, janstel@xs4all.nl or call me, 0031 (0)6 41202562

Thanks in advance for your support and help!

Jan Stel meets "EKS’KWIZIT - Artist Wear"

Fashion is what engages many people each day. Not knowing what to wear or the feeling you get when you wear something nice are daily issues. Fashion inspires us, just like art gives us freedom of expression or to identify with. The artists that design for eks’kwizit all have a unique style and are working with passion. We offer a new unique way to design your own piece of personal fashion, by shaping and customizing a choosen artwork to your personal desires.
